Sundance® Spas Full foam insulation

Energy efficiency is built directly into the shells of our spas:

  • For full foam insulation, we use two types of foam. Fully fill the compartment between the shell and skirt and help maintain the water temperature.
  • The equipment room is surrounded by high-density heat-resistant foam. Elsewhere, lighter foam provides insulation.
  • Our Rigid Bond™ hot tub shells, combined with our excellent insulation system, offer superior performance, durability and energy efficiency.

Seasonal use for Sundance® Spas

Winter

Winter is hot tub season. Don't even think about hibernating your spa. With a little preparation, you can use it year-round.

  • Before winter sets in, drain, thoroughly clean and refill your spa before the temperatures get too cold.
  • Minimize your exposure to the elements by making sure you can easily get in and out of your spa via convenient steps. Stock up on fluffy bathrobes and towels near your spa.
  • Make sure your spa's cover is in good condition to retain heat, and invest in a new one if you're in doubt.
  • Stay on top of water and filter maintenance. Dirty filters reduce water circulation and cause the pump to work harder, reducing energy efficiency.

Summer

Sunny days, backyard barbecues and lots of family time. These are just a few of the things people look forward to during the summer months. As a Sundance® Spas owner, you can add lots of spa time to that list. Here are some tips for summer use of your spa system.

  • Prepare your spa for heavy use by cleaning it properly. You can keep it clean by checking for clogs and damage to any part. You should always do your best to make sure these are repaired before using the spa.
  • Clean and condition your spa cover to ensure it is protected from the elements.
  • Refill your spa and use test strips to get your chemical balance just right.
  • Start the jets and test each seat to make sure all jets are working.
  • Lower the temperature. Try lowering the temperature to 95 °F or 85 °F for summer use. Like a small pool that requires less energy to heat. You can also use your pool as a cooling zone.
